Nargaroth was formed in 1989 by Kanwulf as a one person band. At that time Kanwulf was still a teenager. In 1991 the demo Orke was released, it contained 7 instrumental tracks. Two years later in 1993 the demo Herbstleyd was released. On 4th of October 1999 Kanwulfs best friend Erik Brødreskift committed suicide (Grim (Erik Brødreskift), former member of Immortal and gorgoroth). That was a very big shock for him and later he made a tribute song for him titled Erik, may you rape the angels. In 1998, No Colours Records contacted him to re-record Herbstleyd and release it as a cd. Kanwulf agreed and Herbstleyd got released by No Colours cd in 1999. in 2000 the album Amarok was released by No Colours. Also in 2000 the controversial demo Fuck Off Nowadays Black Metal was released. He released a demo after two albums because he liked the sound better. In 2001 No Colours released the infamous Black Metal Ist Krieg album that is considered Kanwulfs dedication to black metal. In 2002 Rasluka Part II was released. It was dedicated to Erik Brødreskift. In 2004 Rasluka Part I was released and also released in 2004 was Prosatanica Shooting Angels.
