InMe is an English heavy alternative rock group from Brentwood, Essex. There are 3 members of the group: Dave McPherson who plays vocals and guitar, Joe Morgan who plays bass and backing vocal, Simon Taylor who plays the drums. The Group formed in 1996 as "Drowned" and played several local venues, getting their first interviews and airplay on Brentwood-based station Phoenix FM. They signed with MFN in 2001 and changed their name to "InMe" to avoid confusion with the American Christian rock group of the same name.
InMe's first single, "UnderDose", was released in 2002 and entered the UK charts at number 66. This was followed by the singles "Firefly" and "Crushed Like Fruit", which reached number 25 in the UK charts. Their debut album, Overgrown Eden was released in January 2003 and entered the UK album charts at number 15.
After being dropped from MFN during the labels takeover, the band eventually signed to V2 records, and founded their own imprint label, Pandora's Box Records.
Their sophomore album, White Butterfly, was released June 20th 2005. It was released in two forms in the UK, a standard edition with thirteen tracks, and a limited edition with two bonus tracks. The first single from White Butterfly was technically Faster The Chase back in 2004 when the band were still with MFN. A download-only single, Otherside, was also released at a cost of £0.99p (GBP) per download. The first in-store single to be released on the new label, however, was 7 Weeks.
The release of White Butterfly is sandwiched between a tour of the UK.
White Butterfly was produced by Josh Abraham, know for his work with other big name bands such as KoRn.
