Flaw was a Nu-Metal band from Louisville, Kentucky. However, despite their genre, their sound contains diversity that goes outside of the Nu-Metal classification.
Flaw maintains that they must keep a good relationship with their fans to sustain longevity. As a result, they write for the fans in hope that they may take something from the songs and apply it to their lives.
After their two albums combined failed to sell more than 500,000 copies, Flaw was dropped by Universal in late 2004, and singer Chris Volz left the group to start his own project, "VENT", now called Five Bolt Main.
Flaw's guitar work is intricate; it flows with the song, yet isnt simplistic following the drums. Their bass lines have major funk influence, but not to the point of it becoming fusion. Such breaks the normal curse of Nu-Metal having simplistic guitarwork.
Flaw still totes the typical funk influenced drumlines; metalesque but not basic.
Their songs revolve around Chris Volz unusual but pleasant voice, (it definitely is something you must hear to understand), catchy funk-influenced hooks with melodic overtones, and strategic mixing techniques. Through the eyes can be described as mainly basic Nu-Metal, but it shows their progress into Endangered Species through a songs such as Inner Strength.
As of March 2005 the band Flaw is no more. the lead singer is in a new band called Five Bolt Main (formerly Vent) and the remaining members of the band are looking for a new vocalist. once found, they will change the name of the band.

Style
Flaw is vastly different from the run of the mill nu-metal band in a multitude of ways, as became very apparent in their second album Endangered Species.Flaw's guitar work is intricate; it flows with the song, yet isnt simplistic following the drums. The band
Flaw has said they are mainly a live band, and that couping up in a studio is not their "thing", and their live preference is apparent in their music.Band members
